Nature and Well-being

This week was well-being week and had a nature theme. The children really enjoyed playing outside and working with their friends on a variety of activities. It was lovely to see so many happy faces and listening to their conversations with other children and adults.

Making Soup

We have been reading the story Oliver's Vegetables and learning all about different vegetables and growth. The children have enjoyed using a knife to safely to cut their own vegetables to make vegetable soup. We are going to have the soup at snack time tomorrow.

Jasper's Beanstalk

The children in Early Years have all enjoyed their beanstalk themed activities this week. They have learnt which two colours you mix together to make green for their beanstalks, counted the correct amount of beans to match the numbered beanstalk leaf, spoke about what would be at the top of their own beanstalk and also planted their own bean. They have been very busy!

Easter Activities

The children really enjoyed their Easter themed activities this week and worked hard in all of the areas. Some children were matching the correct number of chicks to a chosen number and others were creating some beautiful Easter crafts to take home.

Advent wreath and Nativity fun

Celebrating Bonfire Night. We had lots of fun with messy paint and glitter, creating firework pictures, making chocolate apples and edible sparklers. We also worked hard and did some Bonfire Night writing and spelling.
