Wellbeing Wednesday is here again and it is also Mental Health Awareness Week. It is so important we take care of ourselves and others during these unsettling times. Try the 7 day challenge with your children- helping others has a positive impact on our own mental wellbeing x

Storm Clara caused lots of disruptions but we still had fun in the wind. We made our own kites and flew them

We have been learning about when the angel came to see Maryto tell her she was having a baby. We did some drama work then used the green screen to freeze frame our actions

We have wrote stories using the structure of the story Amazing Grace. We then used GreenScreen technology to shrink ourselves and read our stories sat on the library shelf

Our certificate winners for this week. Reading, class dojo and sports. We have worked super hard this week
Music with Mr Clarke. We are loving our music lessons and learning all about beat, rhythm and tempo
Peer massage. We have been learning how we can control our emotions and calm ourselves down. This week we practiced peer massage and meditation. We were so relaxed
We use Accelerated Reader in school and achieve certificates when we complete a number of quizzes. The certificates show how hard we have been working
Young writers competition. We have received our certificates and have had some of our poems published. We are super proud of our writing skills
Year 2 reading club started this week. It was great fun. We played cards and caught words with our wide mouth frog masks
Our new playground. We have had new markings put on the playground. If you run 13 times around following the footsteps you would complete a mile. We had great fun trying this challenge today
We are writing our own space adventures. We role played some of our ideas
We can compare number sentences.
We have been using number scales to help us understand how to compare number sentences. We made videos to show what we understand

Astronaut presentation
We have been researching what skills and attributes an astronauts would need. We worked in groups and filmed our presentations
Alien Invasion
A spaceship crashed in the school playground during the early hours of Monday morning. Police have cordoned off the area and there is now no danger. We took the roles of film maker, news editor, news reader and prompter and created our first edition of St Gregory's Newsbeat
Curriculum in Action 7th October 2019 The children enjoyed having a drink and a biscuit with their grown ups while they showed off all their hard work.

23rd September 2019 Today we took part in a road safety session. We found out a lot about how to stay safe on the roads.
